Cavendish University Uganda is among the 12 finalists for the 2019 International Green Gown Awards (Student Engagement category, with the Girls Paint Africa Green Project). Only 2 other finalists are from Africa and these include; Ndejje University Uganda and Kenyatta University, Kenya.
The International Green Gown Awards – 2019 is endorsed by the UN Environment Commission. It is hosted by the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), L’Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) International Association of Universities (IAU) and the Institute of International Education (IIE) with the aim of recognising exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by the world’s universities and colleges.
The finalists will be recognised on 10th July, 2019 in New York as part of the United Nations High Level Political Forum.
