Dr. Faith Ahabyoona is the Dean, Faculty of Business and Management at Cavendish University Uganda, a position she assumed since September, 2021. She is also a lecturer, teaching Finance for Managers, Financial Accounting and Management Accounting at Graduate and Undergraduate since August 2019.
Dr. Ahabyoona is a well-established Finance and Digital Credit Facilitation Leader and Instructor. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration with specialization in Accounting and Finance from Uganda Christian University (2005) where she was a member of the Honors’ College a leadership training Program for distinct students, and also the Top Best student for the Faculty of Business and Management. She earned a Master of Business Administration from Uganda Martyrs University (2011). She then went on to earn her Ph.D. with research specialty in Digital Financing from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (2021).
Prior to joining Cavendish University Uganda in 2019, Dr Ahabyoona worked as an Acting Dean for Business School at UTAMU since 2017 and before as a Head of Financial Aid and Lecturer at Uganda Christian University Mukono since 2008. In all capacities, she distinguished herself as a transformative leader with interdisciplinary skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the different industry horizon.
Other than Lecturing skills, Dr Ahabyoona is a distinguished researcher with great passion in strengthening financial management processes for grass root financing institutions’ transformation for enhanced food security in Uganda. As a result, she has researched, innovated and published extensively about decision enhancement for credit management of agricultural cooperatives in Uganda. Dr Ahabyoona’ approach the DECFA is currently supporting over 300 farmers in Kamwenge district in Uganda. As a result of being a passionate innovations scholar, Dr Ahabyoona is a two-time beneficiary of the transformation GlobeLics Academy (2019 in Finland) and AfricaLics Academy (2018 in Morocco).
Dr Ahabyoona is a distinguished consultant who has continuously supported the implementation of financial literacy in the Government of Uganda agencies and private sector entities small and medium enterprises and as a result she is a certified financial literacy trainer.
Lastly Dr Ahabyoona is a youth mentor who supports youth initiatives through advisory and as a board member some of these include Ishaazi Ryeitu Foundation and Hastings Business Training.
